Book Blurb:
Levi Carr is captain of the Roxboro University Lions hockey team. His rival is James Wayne University and their captain, Trevor McCarthy. After an incident in high school and his mother's death, Levi does whatever he can to make McCarthy's life a little harder. When leaving the rivaling campus one night, Levi meets one person who can unknowingly help him mess with McCarthy.
My one job in this is to mess with McCarthy's head and all it has done is mess with mine.
Presley McCarthy lives in the shadow of her twin brother, Trevor. After being separated when their parents divorced, all Presley heard about was Levi Carr being a bully to Trevor. Now in college, Presley is trying to be her own person, but when she meets Levi Carr, it all changes. But will the changes be good or bad?
He is nothing like my brother described. Maybe I've been wrong all along.

Except #1 Levi
‘“Good game, Carr,”
Trevor calls out as we turn the opposite way from the door of the locker room
to leave. Coach is already waiting on the bus, and I stop in my tracks at his
boast. The guys turn with me, and I see Presley standing beside her brother, an
elbow resting on his shoulder and a smirk on her face.
“You won because we let you, McCarthy.” Total
bullshit, but he doesn’t know that. “I just didn’t want to embarrass you in
front of your sister,” I say with a nod in her direction, her smirk
disappearing at my attention. Trevor stands a little taller, his smile gone.
Bringing his sister into the conversation isn’t something he’s fond of, I’m
guessing.
“I’m sure you let us win.” He even rolls his
eyes. “Why don’t you all keep walking to your bus with your tail between your
legs.”
I chuckle and shrugs my shoulders. His comments
don’t bother me and I’m sure to exert confidence. My eyes leave his and find
those brown ones I thought about last night. “Maybe I’ll catch you later,
Presley?”
Her eyes widen slightly when I say her name, but
other than that she doesn’t give away any emotions.
Excerpt #2 Presley
I stick my chin out,
square my shoulders, and walk right into the diner towards Levi. He looks me up
and down right before I sit across from him in the booth.
“Well, I’m very surprised that you came tonight.” He’s leaning back in the booth in a very relaxed pose.
“I’m here. Where is the Bunny? Did she have a curfew or were you just that quick?”
“Wow, slamming my manhood already, Pres.” He comes in closer to me. “Would you like to know how long I can last?” His seductive voice drives me crazy, but I’m focusing on my task.
“I guess I have three minutes to spare.” I shrug like it isn’t a big deal to me. Levi laughs at my remark.
“Oh, Smarty, it will be much longer than three minutes when you’re in my bed.” My heart rate rises and my breath quickens. I have to get away from this sex talk and fast.
“What is your angle, Levi? Just tell me,” I firmly say.
“Angle? You think that I’m trying to trick you?” he questions me like I’m making this up.
“Yes because I don’t understand why you’re trying so hard to get with me.”
“Would you like to know my answer?” He is getting closer to me as I nod. He clears his throat. “I’m attracted to you, that’s a given. I know you’re attracted to me and don’t try to deny it. Would I like you in my bed? Hell, yes. However, I figure you’re not the type just to fall into bed with any guy. So, why don’t we go on one date? Just one date and then go from there.”
“One date?” I’m a little taken aback. That is his big plan? He doesn’t want anything else.
“One.” He holds his finger up.
I take the bait, and I know that Trevor will kill me when he finds out. “When?” Levi’s breathtaking smile appears.
“Right now.”
