Author Bio

**Bound by custom or unique by choice.**

There's something about the written word that's pure magic.

Possibly it's the fact that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, and they can create something so beautiful or so empowering that they're able to change our lives.

How important is it that we break suit and stretch our minds?

I like to think of myself as 'unique'. My stories aren't for everyone, and sometimes I may push what you believe to be 'normal'.

Normal is subjective.

I prefer to be known as a person who's never been 'bound by custom' but is 'unique by choice'.

Until next time

[Review] Only Between Us by Mila Ferrera

Synopsis

Last semester, Romy escaped from an abusive relationship with the guy she’d thought was the man of her dreams. This semester she’s putting herself back together, determined to reclaim her passion for art and for life. When she signs up for a painting class at the local art co-op, the possibility of passion becomes very real -- in the form of her teacher, Caleb. Both mysterious and seriously hot, Caleb bares his soul on his canvases, and Romy’s fascinated by what she sees.

Caleb is just trying to keep his head above water. Caring for his traumatized, unstable sister is getting harder every day, and his paintings are so dark and bleak that no one is buying. Teaching classes at the co-op is no longer enough, and now he’s going to have to sell more than just his art to the wealthy, sex-starved women in his classes. But when Romy comes along, she makes everything more complicated. She sees the truth in his paintings -- a truth no one else has realized, until now.

Romy and Caleb might have a real shot together -- one that could heal them both. But when ghosts from their pasts re-emerge, determined to keep them apart, will they be strong enough to hold on to each other?

My Review

Okay, so after a few days since I've finished, I've collected my thought enough to where I can express my thoughts on this book. Only Between Us is about a girl named Romy who recently go out of an abusive relationship. She has this passion for art and so she signs up for an art class. Enter Caleb. Oh poor Caleb! All throughout this book I felt to bad for him. All that he has to go through with taking care of his mentally disturbed sister, who hates him. His sister blames him for what happened to her. She is so ungrateful for the majority of this book and she don't see that Caleb loves her and that he's just trying to help.

He teaches art classes and there is where Romy and Caleb meet and the attraction that sets fire between then is HOTT! They both come from broken past and you just feel for them. Romy sees the true Caleb through his painting and what he goes through day by day. Their's this quote that I loved some much that says:

"We all begin with a white canvas, but once it's got paint on it, you can't undo that. you can try to cover it up, but it's always there."

I gave this book 4 stars because even though Caleb blames himself for what happened to his sister, Romy convinces him that it was never his fault. She saved Caleb.
